Enter The Arena

Tomorrow you enter the arena…

If your like most of us, this is where you spend most of your time.

This is the YOUR mission field.

This is where, YOU, get to fight back the darkness!!!

Don’t Get It Twisted!

We are supposed to be the example, NOT the Police.

Showing people Jesus at work is not the same thing as calling them out every time they drop an F-Bomb, or tell a joke that would make your momma blush.

Most of the people we walk with at work do not even claim to be under the same King as you and me. So expecting them to live like Jesus, or even act fake around you is a little crazy if you ask me.

I am not surprised when the world acts like the world.

That said, just because we cannot expect to hold non-believers to the same standard, doesn't mean we don't draw lines for ourselves.

There are certain things that we need not be a part of. Just be sure that when you see that line, you remove yourself from the situation when you can. Either in presence or participation.

What does this look like?

Imagine you're at work and someone starts up a conversation that you know you shouldn't be part of.

Removing your presence...this is simple just smile and walk way. After a while of doing this, people will see that you're different and ask why. You don't need to tell them they're going to hell. Just don't be part of it, that will noticed

Removing your participation…. this is a bit harder. Because for what ever reason you simply cannot leave. But you don't need to participate in the bullying of a co-worker, or the workplace gossip.

But what if Christians acted different, set apart if you will ?

Is this NOT our calling?

What I were different?

What if when everyone else is talking crap about the boss or someone else, we stayed silent and didn't get involved.

People notice. And when they ask, you get to tell them you are a Citizen of Heaven and Our King expects that we use our tongue to build people up, bless people, and build His Kingdom.

With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. 10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

No matter if you believe it's a sin or not, one of the most noticable things we can do to set ourselves apart from the word is to refrain from cussing or gossip, or sexually immoral jokes.

So Be different.

Walk next to your co-workers in love.

Build relationships

And when the time is right, when they know you care, Share the good news of the Gospel.

This is your mission, whether you choose to accept it or not…
